Beliefs & Affiliation
We believe in the authority of the Christian Scriptures for our life and practice. We hold to the essential orthodox Christian beliefs as expressed in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.
We are a part of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO), a diocese of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA), built on five key values: Kingdom, Spirit, Formation, Mission, and Sacrament.
Our Approach
We reflect a “three streams” approach to faith and worship. It is our conviction that this approach encourages humility, maturity, and a healthy appreciation for diversity within the Church of Jesus Christ.
Evangelical
When we say that we are “evangelical,” we mean that we take seriously the Great Commission’s call to make disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus has commanded.” It also means we preach and teach from the Bible because we believe it is the inspired word of God, and our desire is for all people to enter into a saving relationship with Jesus.
Charismatic
When we say that we are “charismatic” we mean that we believe God is present and active among His people by the Holy Spirit. We anticipate the work of the Spirit in the life of the church to convict us of sin, illuminate the truth, and empower us to live as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.
Liturgical
When we say that we are “liturgical,” we mean that we value the longevity of historic Christian tradition, the rhythms of the church calendar, the consistency of a lectionary-based teaching plan, and our connection to the global Church. It also means we embrace things like having bishops, reciting creeds, respecting ordination and utilizing historic liturgies.
